Standard Mechanism Types
These are the most common designs used in a wide variety of industries. From the drive of mechanisms of industrial and production value, to lifting devices. All of them, regardless of size, have certain technical characteristics:
- More than two dozen standard sizes and designs.
- Power of the connected electric motor from 0.5 to 15 kW.
- Gear ratios range from 5 to 100.
- Maximum torque up to 1400 Nm.
Important: the design of the gearbox assumes a relatively small size. It is very easy to integrate it into almost any existing mechanism. Simple enough, it does not tend to break in the process of everyday use. And the repair is carried out by the usual replacement of a worn out gear and worm shaft.
Hoisting worm gear
The most critical and important lifting devices are equipped with especially reliable and high-quality worm gearboxes. The worm gearbox in screw jacks is especially widespread. A screw is mounted on the drive shaft, without additional mechanisms, which serves as a support for the platform being lifted. It is worth adding to other features of the hoisting gearbox:
- platform speed depends on the gear ratio;
- the smaller the pitch of the propeller, the more load it can handle;
- gear housing can be made of cast iron or aluminum;
- the presence of cooling fins to maintain the optimum temperature of the mechanism.
Important: mechanisms are also used in elevators, where they play the role of a car lift with people. High-quality NMRV worm gearboxes can work for many years, require only a lubricant change, and visual inspection for the absence physical damage. Since the construction often uses a gear made of bronze, the gearbox does not tolerate overheating.
