In most cases, jewelers use precious stones as an independent basis for jewelry, but they can also combine them with other, less expensive minerals. The frame for crystals is selected individually, because not all combinations of metal and stone will be in harmony with each other. And each jewelry workshop in Kyiv always tries to achieve such a result when the crystal emphasizes brilliance and nobility of the frame. However, craftsmen are aware of cases when an incorrectly selected stone makes even sparkling gold fade.
Successful combinations
According to centuries-old tradition, unions are considered the most successful:
- platinum with sapphires, amethysts and, of course, diamonds. The discreet brilliance and grayish tint of the metal harmonizes perfectly with bright, transparent diamonds and stones of deep blue or purple hues. Beautifully emphasize the grace of platinum and blue aquamarine, as well as yellow-blue with a unique pattern of labrador;
- yellow or rose gold with transparent or translucent crystals in warm tones. Stones of saturated colors with classic gold are less compatible, although jewelers manage to create magnificent jewelry from seemingly incompatible components;
- stylish and noble silver harmonizes perfectly with bright opaque and translucent minerals. The combination with rich green, purple and blue stones is considered optimal. The use of red minerals requires the master to have good taste. Despite the changeable fashion, some combinations will always be in trend. For example, platinum wedding rings with teardrop-clear diamonds.
For freedom of expression
You can completely ignore the advice of stylists and the rules for combining jewelry. The main thing is that the completed image is harmonious and holistic, and for this you just need:
- do not exceed the maximum number of colors in the image (three - five) - not all professional stylists manage to look beautiful if more than five shades are collected in their bow;
- monochrome clothes for bright jewelry and vice versa - catchy and bright accessories will look great with a laconic, one-color dress. But if you wear them with no less bright clothes, the image will be overloaded. In general, modern fashion does not impose strict requirements on any combinations, leaving us with a huge space for imagination.
