In December last year, Belorusneft discovered an oil field in the country with forecasted reserves of 1.69 million tons of hydrocarbons. Exact reserves will be established after the second exploration well is surveyed. This was announced by a Belarusian company.
Earlier Belorusneft announced plans to acquire new oil fields in Russia. Since 2013, Belorusneft has been represented by the Jangpur Group on the Russian market.
Belorusneft supplies oil from 60 fields in Belarus, 13 fields in Venezuela and five fields in Russia. In Belarus, oil has been produced since 1965, mainly in the Gomel region. In 50 years, the company supplied to the market about 130 million tons of oil and about four billion cubic meters of associated gas.
