Trump government challenges WTO rules
The US government planned to complete the study of steel imports from various countries by the end of June, but now by July. The introduction of the customs tax caused a real commotion, mainly in the domestic market and among US partners.
Internal contradictions are associated with increased production costs, decreased employment, higher consumer prices and damage to relations with trading partners in the event of tightening tariffs.
Trading partners such as China, the EU, Brazil, Austria and Russia have been accused of violating WTO rules.
Trading partners simply cannot accept that US President Trump commissioned an investigation to follow the Trade Expansion Act section of 1962, which gave the president too much power to manipulate international trade.
The world is now waiting to see the WTO defend its position against Trump's challenge.
