Iranian steelmakers exported 1.04 million tonnes of steel in the first two Iranian months (March 21-May 21) to record a 15% decline year-on-year, according to the latest data released by the Mining and Extractive Development Organization branches of Iran.
Steel mills shipped 609,349 tons during the second Iranian month (April 21 to May 21), down 31% from the same month the previous year.
With total exports of 398,739 tonnes in two months and 140,278 tonnes in the second month under review, Khouzestan Steel Company was the largest steel exporter in Iran.
