According to DP Derzhzovnishinform, Ukrainian companies exported 3.84 million tons of steel semi-finished products in the first half of 2019, which is 7.2 percent more than in the same period in 2018. Nevertheless, the proceeds from the sale of billets abroad fell by 5.5 percent - to 1 billion 620 million US dollars.
Exports of Ukrainian finished rolled products in January-June 2019 amounted to 4.2 million tons, which is 0.4 percent more than a year ago. The export value fell by 9.6 percent on an annualized basis - to $ 2,229 million.
Exports of steel pipes in the first half of the year remained practically unchanged, amounting to 327.5 million tons (in January-June 2018 - 327.1 million tons) for a total of $ 359.7 million ($ 360.6 million a year earlier).
