Chile was gripped by protests as the country's government proposed to increase spending on public transport. The president imposed curfews in several cities, but the Chilean mining department was still functioning after violent protests.
Chile's Mines Minister Baldo Procurica said that due to traffic jams caused by the protests, companies have taken steps to ensure that shift workers can enter the mine.
Major mining companies in Chile include BHP Group Limited, Anglo American PLC and CAP Group.
Despite the fact that the government has postponed the increase in the cost of public transport
