Iran's steel production rose 46.7 percent in January, with an average global growth rate of 2.1 percent, according to a report released by the World Steel Association (WSA).
Compared to last January's 1,971 million tons, Iran produced 2.895 million tons of crude steel, up 46.7 percent, according to WSA data.
In January 2020, 64 steel producers in the world produced 154.436 million tons of goods, which is 2.1 percent more than in January last year - 151.228 million tons, the WSA said.
The report clarifies that China, India, Japan, the United States and Russia were respectively the world's leading steel producers.
