In 2014, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is going to invest in the repair of street roads and lighting networks, the construction of a railway for the tram and the overhaul of 6 city trolleybuses. They also plan to create a park for workers near the palace of youth and students of Kryvyi Rih, which will have a sports ground for skating and rollerblading, as well as a Wi-Fi zone.
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih makes a significant contribution to the Ukrainian economy as one of the largest taxpayers in the country. In 2013, the company paid UAH 643 million in taxes to the local treasury. At the same time, within 5 months of 2014, about 281 million hryvnias have already been transferred to the local treasury, which is 27 million hryvnias more than in the same period of 2013.
