Cutting and cold metal stamping have become widespread. Cutting is most efficient. It gives metal products precise dimensions, ensuring high surface quality. Metal processing by cutting is divided into several types of work - hole drilling, turning, milling, planing, grinding.
Metal machining and cutting services are carried out on modern milling and turning equipment with the ability to execute orders of any complexity. Metal turning is in great demand among other types of cutting. Lathes allow you to perform a full range of turning work - drilling, threading, parting off. Thanks to turning, metal products are accurate and meet all technical requirements.
The main cutting motion is the rotary motion of the workpiece, and the feed motion is the translational motion of the tool. The auxiliary movements of metal turning also differ. They are not directly related to cutting, but are responsible for transporting and securing the workpiece on the lathe, turning on and the frequency of its rotation or the speed of the translational movement of the tool.
Turning metalworking is the most demanded type of processing of the outer surfaces of rotation with a cutting tool during longitudinal movement. With the help of a cutter (cutting tool), the metal is milled. On modern milling equipment, horizontal, vertical milling, as well as milling at various angles can be carried out. Cold stamping of metal and milling are divided into several types - shaped, face, peripheral, end, depending on the type of cutter that is installed in the machine. Metal machining services are in great demand. The efficiency of metal processing with a milling cutter is achieved thanks to the use of different types of milling cutters for each specific case.
Metal boring is a complex process of mechanical metalworking of internal surfaces. It is carried out using boring cutters in order to increase the diameter of the metal surface. Boring is performed on lathes, boring and other metal-cutting machines. Notches, grooves or holes are the main pieces of metal that are machined when boring.
Cold stamping of metal and boring metal working on a lathe is carried out in several cases:
- if hole size accuracy is not ensured by drilling, reaming or countersinking;
- if you want to ensure the straightness of the hole axis and the maximum accuracy of its position;
- if you want to machine a hole with a diameter larger than the diameters of countersinks and drills;
- if there is no countersink or drill of the required size;
- if the hole length is short.
