Drying chambers - making the right choice

Pallet production is a profitable enterprise that does not require complex equipment and takes little time to complete one production circle. However, one cannot do without basic production assets.
Not only technical parameters are responsible for the quality of products - the thickness of the boards, the number of nails, the size of the beams and chamfers. The basis of quality is determined by the material - wood, which must be properly dried. If the material does not pass the processing procedure, but there is a danger of destruction of the tree, the appearance of foci of pests and rot in it. Moisture on the tree risks causing the spread of fungal colonies, which will resolve the structure of the material, its color. Processing allows not only to get rid of such phenomena, but also prevents changes in size and shape during further processing and operation of the goods.
Therefore, wood that has not been processed does not receive the stamp of the standard and is not allowed for further production process.
It follows from this that pallet production needs material support for materials drying. The most convenient and at the same time profitable means are drying chambers for wood.
Drying chambers for wood
are presented on the modern market in a wide variety. The types into which drying chambers can be divided are characterized by the way in which the space in which the material is placed for processing is heated. Their main types are:
- convection drying chambers. Heat exchange here is carried out by supplying heated air streams, which, pouring over the tree, evaporate the remaining moisture. Any heated surface can be a source of heat here. The positive side of this type of equipment is the economic benefit of use. Drying consumes less energy than its cousins;
- dielectric - work with the use of high-frequency currents, which are converted in the material itself (dielectric losses). The principle of operation is the appearance of thermal energy in the lumber itself. The peculiarity and at the same time the advantage of this type is the large volumes of work performed. This type of device is used in large enterprises;
- aerodynamic dryers operate on the basis of a fan. This type does not need a heater. In this case, drying is several times faster than in the previous types.
