The domestic consumer was not sufficiently aware of the beneficial properties of stainless steel pipes. Many enterprises, in the old fashioned way, trying to save rather small amounts of money, put an ordinary "black" pipe on steam pipelines, water pipelines, and in some cases on chemical mains. Most often, this kind of cost savings turns into serious, sometimes millions, losses for the end consumer of the product.
Taking into account only the standard characteristics of pipe products, such as diameter, wall thickness and stock availability, coupled with the provision of a deferred payment, the buyer narrows his view of the problem, given the purely financial attractiveness of a conventional pipe.
The name "stainless pipe" speaks for itself. The chromium-nickel alloy used in the manufacture of such a pipe is practically not susceptible to corrosion and does not enter into chemical reactions with all sorts of corrosive liquids and gases. It is this basic set of quality indicators for a stainless pipe that should determine its scope.
When purchasing a stainless steel pipe, in some specific cases, it should be remembered that stainless steel can be "food grade" and common use.
