To regulate the flow of liquid or gas in pipelines, various shut-off valves are used, which include taps. Previously, basically, two types were used: a plug flow-through coupling valve and a coupling valve. These cranes are very time consuming to operate and create high resistance in the network, which increases operating costs. With the advent of brass ball valves on the market, all negative phenomena in pressure networks are a thing of the past.
Modern ball valve is a device consisting of a body in which a movable part representing a ball with a hole for the passage of liquid or gas. The design of this crane is very easy to operate and does not require any additional costs.
Depending on the shape of the rotary valve, the valves are divided into:
- spherical or ball,
- conical,
- cylindrical.
Ball valves are made of various materials (bronze, brass, zinc, aluminum, cast iron, steel, titanium, etc.) - this makes it possible to use them in various aggressive environments.
Most often, ball valves are used for the installation of plumbing and heating equipment, water pipelines and gas mains. The use of these cranes is increasing every day.
