Professional installation of stainless pipelines is carried out by highly qualified specialists. Stainless pipelines are used in food processing plants.
Stainless steel products are suitable for these purposes:
GOST 9941-81 "Seamless cold- and heat-deformed pipes made of corrosion-resistant steel";
GOST 9940-81 "Seamless hot-deformed pipes made of corrosion-resistant steel".
Differences between standards
Due to their high tensile strength, GOST 9941 pipes are used where maximum structural rigidity with light weight is required.
Pipes GOST 9940 are used for the installation and operation of stainless steel structures, if necessary, work with flexible materials.
Pros:
- the absence of seams guarantees the exclusion of leaks at the joints;
- resistance to mechanical stress due to the carbon content in the alloy;
- fire resistance;
- light weight of steel;
- retain their original qualities;
- sufficient pipe length, depending on the wall thickness and diameter, can reach 12.5 meters;
- in agreement with the manufacturer, the length may additionally increase;
- high degree of anti-corrosion, which is ensured by the presence of titanium in the alloy;
- does not react with food, with chemical reagents;
- easy maintenance to prevent bacteria build-up;
- no need to paint, primer;
- equal strength is ensured along the entire length of the structure.
Cons:
- cost.
- Production Features
- GOST 9940-81, pipes are made by rolling billet technology, at a temperature of 900 to 1200 degrees Celsius.
- GOST 9941-81 is produced by cold deformation, during manufacturing the temperature is maintained from 450 degrees Celsius.
- Connection Technology
- electric welding with electrodes no thinner than 4;
- on a lathe with rolled threads;
- by manual method.
Due to their positive properties, they are used in complex and critical sections of pipeline networks.
