Iran's Oil and Natural Resources Ministry said it will provide US $ 500 million for the construction of a gas pipeline that will carry Iranian gas to Pakistan. Iran chose Tadbir Energy for the construction of the Tadbir Energy pipeline after a top-level agreement was reached following mutual consultations, according to the ministry.
The selected objects were discussed by the governments of the two countries. There were lengthy negotiations on the design, supply and construction of the pipeline provided for in the contract. At the moment, the selection of a manager capable of leading the contract is underway. The ministry stressed that in recent years, two managers of the Interstate Gas System have already been replaced. It is reported at http://www.grant-k.ru/troinik-perehodnoi/1/ that both managing directors of ISGs served prior to the appointment of Saulat, which was made in accordance with the rules and regulations procedure.
The planned pipeline will have a length of 1,880 kilometers. At the same time, the length of the pipeline across Iran will be 1,110 kilometers, most of which he has already installed on his own land. Construction of the pipeline section by Pakistan has been delayed due to a lack of agreement with major partners such as the United States and Saudi Arabia. Since there is a policy towards Iran aimed at curtailing its nuclear development.
Iran is trying to resist foreign economic pressure from the United States, which is contributing to domestic political instability in the country. In such circumstances, Pakistan faced funding difficulties. Therefore, the Tehran government agreed to provide a loan to Pakistan on the condition that an Iranian firm will build a section of the pipeline on its territory. The project is scheduled to be completed in a little less than two years. In 2015, Pakistan will already meet more than 20% of its gas demand through this pipeline.
