During the implementation of the program for the formation and modernization of a unified coal transshipment terminal, Evraz Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port OJSC received a new batch of industrial equipment. The aim of the project is to increase the level of automation and interaction of railway transport and unloading mechanisms of the seaport.
EVRAZ received equipment purchased from the Thyssen Krupp plant to solve key problems of the port's infrastructure. Since in February of this year, when unloading wagons, the amount of damage has increased significantly. As a result, every 10th carriage needed repairs. In addition, it is planned to upgrade the pumping station, replace rubber hoses and pipelines. And the new equipment will replace the clamshell unloading, which has long been outdated and damages the metal structures of the car fleet. The complex will consist of modern car dumpers, self-propelled conveyors for the formation of coal warehouses, dust screens, loading machines that will reduce atmospheric pollution.
Evraz Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port, which has been part of the Evraz Group since 2001, is intended for the transportation of metallurgical products and coal. The port is directly connected to the Trans-Siberian railway line. The length of the railway lines related to the port is 19 km. The universal terminal is divided into four production and handling complexes. The port has covered and open warehouses with an area of 160 thousand square meters and 103.2 thousand square meters, respectively. Up to 20 ships can be serviced at the same time.
The volume of investments in the modernization of the terminal will amount to over 1 billion rubles . This project is not the only one in the Primorsky Territory.
