The global stainless steel market is expected to rise in 2013. However, the growth in production is not the same for different regions. A slight increase in prices for stainless steel products is expected. Competition from Asian companies will intensify. In the Russian domestic market, the consumption of stainless steel products in 2013 will increase by 10-11%. These are the conclusions reached by the participants of the International Conference "Price of Stainless Steel - 2013".

Interior products made of stainless steel bring harmony to our everyday life. This steel has found a very important use in the manufacture of medical instruments, pump parts and mechanisms.
The wide range of applications for stainless steel is explained by its unique properties. First of all, this is a high corrosion resistance due to the chromium content. A thin film forms on the surface of the material, which prevents the environment from corroding steel. The higher chromium content allows it to be used in aggressive environments. Stainless steel products are durable and do not require special care. The characteristic strength and ductility of this steel allows the creation of many shapes and patterns.
