Ashinskiy Metallurgical Plant celebrates its anniversary in June this year, the preparation of which is already in full swing. The 115th anniversary is also celebrated by the city of Asha, whose appearance is directly related to the construction of a metallurgical enterprise.
The blast furnaces of the plant were the first production facilities. With their appearance, the city itself began to develop, therefore 1898 is considered the year of birth of both the metallurgical plant and the city of Ashi itself. In the first half of the 20th century, open-hearth furnaces appeared, and later in the second half, sheet-rolling mills. At the end of the 90s of the same century, the production of amorphous metal powders, tapes, magnetic circuits was founded. At the same time, the production of stainless steel cookware was launched.
In addition, the plant throughout its existence took care of the prosperity of the city and the well-being of workers and all citizens. The company trains future personnel. So in the administrative building of one of the workshops, a study room was created to deepen the practical knowledge and skills of graduates of higher institutions. The workshop has been completely reequipped, polymer floors were installed and modern wall decoration was performed in accordance with the purpose and requirements of industrial training .
For more than a century of work, the enterprise has been reconstructing and modernizing its steelmaking and rolling production. A power complex, a metal thermal cutting unit, a 120-ton continuous-feed furnace was put into operation.
In the near future, the construction of the first stage of the sheet-rolling shop will be completed, which will be launched as part of the technical re-equipment program of the Ashinsky Metallurgical Plant, designed for the period until 2017.
On the day of the plant's anniversary, numerous concerts, competitions, rewarding of the winners of labor competitions, festive fireworks will be held.
