The management of the Seversky Pipe Plant (STZ) aims to increase the level of personnel training, their competence and awareness to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of modern production processes of the enterprise.
Within the framework of an agreement with the Ministry of Education of the Sverdlovsk Region, the construction of an educational Vocational Training Center is being completed. Prior to the commissioning of the Center, the plant leases classrooms where the qualifications of personnel are upgraded. The future educational institution is designed for 244 students. Construction is being carried out by the StroyMontazh company. Major construction work will be completed in mid-summer.
The Seversky Pipe Plant has been cooperating with the Polevskoy Multidisciplinary Technical School for many years. V.I. Nazarov. All students undergo practical training at STZ. The plant provides material and practical assistance to the technical school in carrying out repair work and purchasing training stands and special equipment. In turn, the Polevsky technical school provides the company with qualified personnel.
The creation of a new Vocational Training Center is one of the points of the educational program of the Sverdlovsk region, designed for the period until 2015. This project should raise initial vocational training to a level that meets the needs of the modern metallurgical industry.
This is not the first time in Russia when industrial companies organize their own training centers for young specialists. This is especially important for high-tech industries that need specialists who can work with sophisticated modern equipment. In addition, metallurgical enterprises coordinate with higher educational institutions programs for conducting practical and training processes. Seversky Trumpet is also working in this direction.
