Modern market requirements posed by the economy set the task of reducing the cost of the production component of products. In the production of various metal products from sheet metal, it is especially important to reduce the cost of products by minimizing the consumable part.
Practice shows that the most significant contribution to cost reduction is made by cheaper cutting of sheets. The greater safety of plasma cutting and the cheaper cost of consumable cutting components, compared to gas, significantly reduce the cost of cutting. Plasma cutting machines are combined with CNC and completely eliminate the problems associated with the "human factor". The final positive point is that after cutting with plasma, additional processing of the workpiece is not required.
Plasma cutting machine tools
Plasma cutting can be successfully used in a wide variety of industrial applications. It uses an arc column with a constant flow of non-ionized gas. The energy of the arc heats this gas, due to which it is ionized and a plasma jet is produced. In modern machine tools, additional compression of the arc by a vortex gas flow is used. As a result, a very strong beam of thermal energy is created, which has ideal metal-cutting properties.
Plasma cutting also has a number of production advantages:
a) a variety of possible metals for processing (non-ferrous and ferrous metals, including even refractory alloys);
b) the cutting time of small and medium thicknesses is several times less than with the gas-flame version;
c) heating during cutting is of a local nature and excludes thermal deformation;
d) almost perfect cleanliness and quality of the cut;
e) ease of implementation of complex cutting figures;
f) an order of magnitude higher safety of the cutting process (there are no extremely dangerous oxygen cylinders).
Plasma cutting machines have taken the place of the so-called "golden mean". Their advantages and the variety of tasks they solve more than cover their disadvantages in comparison with oxygen and laser cutting and, in fact, leave the latter only more highly specialized tasks.
Most of the machines are automated CNC machines that provide automatic flame cutting and auto height control. Machine bodies are usually made of steel.
The Intervesp company can supply a profile bender of any complexity. Roll-forming machines are designed for bending various types of profiles, they can bend at any angles in one or more rolls.
