The Liaoning provincial government announced that a strategic partnership and cooperation with Chinese carmaker Dongfeng Motor Co. will develop on the basis of the Chinese steel industry Anshan Iron and Steel Group Co, which was confirmed after the meeting between the two sides in June this year.
Dongfeng Motor Co was founded in 1969 and currently its main business consists of the production of commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, engines and auto parts. Since 2010, the company has sold around 2.6 million units, ranking second in China's auto industry.
The cooperation between Ansteel Iron and Steel Group Co and Dongfeng Motor began in 1998. In accordance with the new strategic partnership and cooperation agreement, the two sides will strengthen relationships in steel production, advanced technology development, business management, product sales and other areas.
