There are two solutions. In the first, rotary lobe pumps can operate without adding lubricant inside the chamber. In the second, with the addition of liquid oil. The most popular among oil milking machines is AID-1. It was developed back in the days of the USSR and throughout the entire time, it was modernized by various manufacturers. Oil allows to increase the pump continuous operation time up to 90-120 minutes. Then he is allowed to cool for an hour, and he is again ready for milking. Oil creates a thin film between the working end of the plate and the inner pump casing. In this place, the greatest frictional force occurs with the release of heat. The vacuum oil fills the pores, smoothes out roughness, making the vacuum more stable. Lubricating properties improve the sliding effect. The noise level decreases in a positive direction.
Milking machines of the AID type have a closed oil circulation system. Initially, it is poured into an expansion tank. Through a thin tube, it enters the pump, where it is sprayed. On the other side of it there is an exit tube that goes back to the tank. A small amount of grease with dust from the blades goes into the muffler, where it is collected through a special trap. Then it goes into a special container for collecting mining. The main idea is to constantly wash the inside of the working chamber with oil. AID differs from competitors by a free-standing pump. Its shaft is connected to the electric motor through a rubber coupling. During switching on and during milking, it dampens shock loads from which noise decreases even more. Support bearings are less stressed from vibrations. Their service life is slightly increased.
Burenka suggested a different approach. From the expansion tank, the oil is drawn in in very small portions. This solves the problem of starting during cold periods. The pump does not feel the change
