In order to exclude heat loss or freezing of water in pipelines, we use pipe insulation, which is produced by our company. It is made of polyethylene foam, which provides high-quality thermal insulation of steel pipes.
Manufacturing technology
Polyethylene granules are fed into a rotating hopper, where they are heated to a temperature above 115 ⁰С and melt. Isobutane, propane-butane, freon are fed into this mass, which foams the raw material. As a result, a uniform porous structure of polyethylene is formed.
Then the resulting raw material is cooled and fed into the extruder, where it is pressed through a nozzle under pressure. It forms the shape of the insulation. The result is insulating pipes, mats, shells.
Types of polyethylene foam
Our company produces thermal insulation for pipes and buildings from the following types of polyethylene:
- Stitched by chemical reaction. It has a modified molecular structure obtained with chemical reagents.
- Gas-filled (not stitched). An integral molecular structure is obtained using hydrocarbon blowing agents.
Main characteristics of pipe insulation
Our heat-insulating pipe has the following unique characteristics:
- Is flexible, does not crumble or deform, which greatly facilitates installation.
- Easily dismantled, reused.
- Does not absorb water. Mold does not form in it.
- Shows resistance to chemical solvents.
- Refers to the category of environmentally friendly building materials. It is used without restrictions, including in the food industry, medical institutions.
- The service life is at least 50 years.
- Available with or without a longitudinal section as agreed with the customer.
- The diameter of the pipes produced is 15 to 114 mm.
Scope
Heat-insulating pipes are used for thermal insulation of pipeline heating systems, main heating mains. In addition, they are widely used in the food industry, trade enterprises for the insulation of refrigeration equipment pipelines. Cold and hot water systems are also insulated in this way.
