Pipeline systems for moving liquids or gases (including under high pressure and over long distances) imply the mandatory use of valves. It is intended for:
- Stops pumping the working fluid.
- Shutting off the pipeline in case of excessive or low pressure in the system.
- Redirecting the movement of the working fluid to another system or branch.
The internal part of the pipelines requires preventive measures (inspection, cleaning, purging) without dismantling the system. For these purposes, the so-called quick-acting shutter has been developed and is widely used, which in engineering reference books bears the designation: "End bayonet shutter" - or abbreviated ZKB. Name means:
- End - installed at the end sections of pipelines.
- Fast-acting - implies the possibility of quick access (after opening) into the internal cavity of the pipeline system.
Opening of the cover (turning around the axis) of the locking device is carried out using the folding lever. It is attached to the locking device through a ball joint. Full tightness of the lock in the closed position is ensured by a special lock.
Technical parameters
ZKB shut-off valves designed and manufactured by NGPA (oil and gas industrial valves) are available in the right and left versions of opening the locking cover. Has the following technical parameters:
- Section diameter - from 100 to 1600 mm.
- Allowable working pressure - no more than 16 MPa.
- Operating temperature range - from -60 to +250 C degrees.
Allowed to be used in pipeline systems, where working fluids are oil products, gas mixtures and various chemically active liquids. More information can be found on the official website of the manufacturer.
