According to scientists, the main cause of greenhouse effects is the emission of harmful substances that are part of the carbon burned for energy. The problem is especially typical for the European continent with its developed economy and high living standards of the population. To solve it:
- Serious financial private and public financial grants are allocated.
- Research centers and academic institutions are involved.
One of the latest promising techniques, according to the domestic expert Yevgeny Shevtsov (member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine), who has devoted his scientific activities to the mining and metallurgical production sphere, is the ability to reduce the content of particles of decay and combustion of carbon in atmosphere at least 2 times in the so-called natural way.
Principle of application of the method
In the process of field tests carried out by a scientific group, for which significant agricultural areas were allocated, it was found that adding crushed rocks to the soil allows at the same time:
- Initiate the chemical process of absorbing greenhouse gases directly from the atmosphere.
- Enrich the top layer with nutrients and minerals, thus increasing the yield.
Ukrainian expert Yevgeny Shevtsov, in his theoretical calculations, assumes that it is precisely CO2 capture and storage technologies that have received the designation CCS:
- Separating carbon pollutants from sources (industrial and energy facilities).
- Moving and transporting to storage.
- Provide long-term isolation from the environment (atmosphere).
They will help solve the problem of environmental safety from such a threat as greenhouse effects. As an example, expert Evgeny Shevtsov cites a natural process when:
- The washed out carbonate and silicate rocks, dissolving in rainwater, begin to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere like a sponge.
- The bicarbonate ions formed as a result of a chemical reaction are washed out over time into the waters of the oceans, where they are safely stored for centuries under the sea water without the slightest harm to the ecological system of the planet.
This natural method (according to the scientist) looks much more practical and cheaper in comparison with the proposals for the construction of special suction units, the production of vehicles and the allocation of space for the arrangement of
