The current pace of urban development requires the same level of development and its communications. With the growth of cities, the question of replacing the old and laying new communication of houses with a water supply system, sewage systems, gas, and so on becomes more and more acute. Until recently, the so-called open method of pipe laying was used, which meant excavating the soil in the required place, regardless of where this place is. When carrying out these works on the road, it is necessary to block road traffic, on the railway track - all kinds of its strengthening, restriction of train traffic, laying pipes at the bottom of the reservoir provided for the use of diving equipment, which is not only expensive, but also causes significant damage to the environment.

Using a drilling swivel

The rig swivel is used at the final stage of the pipeline. After pilot drilling and widening of the working trench, the pipe is directly pulled into the trench. On the opposite side of the launch pad of the proposed pipeline is an already prepared loop. To the end of this particular loop, the drilling swivel is attached, which is able to perceive the pulling force. Its main task is to pull the pipe into the borehole by means of translational rotational motion, while not transferring rotational motion to it.

Modern technology of trenchless pipeline laying

The main advantages of trenchless laying of pipelines are, firstly, minimal contact with the surface, that is, with this method of laying pipes, road communications are not disturbed, there is no need to use drainage systems, as a result, less energy consumption for the process itself. Secondly, a high level of mechanization provides for less manual work, that is, a decrease in the number of maintenance personnel, which also affects the price of the process. Thirdly, there is no likelihood of disruption of existing communications. And as a result - trenchless pipeline laying is becoming more and more popular today.

In addition to the efficiency of this process, minimal harm to the environment, there is another big plus: the working trench is covered with a special solution based on bentonite and polymers. It prevents moisture from entering the pipe, which significantly increases its service life, which means you can save on the repair of such communications.
