Yuri Kozlov said the Russian company has already offered $ 1 billion in financial and technical assistance to rehabilitate the plant. This question received a positive answer and is currently being actively discussed at the highest level by Russia. Talking about financial and technical assistance to the plant, Pakistani news agencies emphasize that Russia is allocating $ 500 million on a government basis to provide assistance.
Yuri Kozlov said that negotiations are underway with Pakistan to implement energy projects and cooperation in the field of science and technology. He said that Russia is ready to implement coal-fired thermal power projects with a capacity of 500 to 600 MW. Discussions are under way to convert Muzaffargarh CHP to coal and create a 600 MW coal-fired power plant at Jamshoro, as well as to upgrade some other energy projects in Pakistan.
