How often to change the oil in the box? A question that becomes relevant especially for a driver who does not have much experience in operating a car, in such a situation it is better to contact auto parts store just to be sure. If there are no instructions on the timing of replacement, it is worth replacing the transmission fluid after 40-60 thousand kilometers. For an automatic transmission there are ATF oils, for a mechanical one - MTF. Of course, you cannot partially add another oil - mixing is completely contraindicated. Gearbox fluids are divided into the following types:
- mineral oil, which must be changed after 30-40 thousand km;
- semi-synthetic with additives is recommended to be changed after no more than 50 thousand km of run;
- synthetics - oil with a large amount of additives, used for an automatic transmission, replaced after 50-60 thousand km in an automatic transmission, and if used in a mechanical box - 60-80 thousand km.
However, when operating a car, each driver learns that for his particular model, his own oil change frequency is regulated. And for an automatic transmission it is worth implementing some principles, and for mechanics - others.
