Any construction begins with the arrangement of the foundation, which in turn has a certain production technology, which includes the manufacture of formwork. All builders faced such a problem as the sticking of the formwork plane with a mixture of concrete, which significantly complicated the process of removing the formwork, and also reduced the quality of the foundation itself and shields. There are various materials for the manufacture of formwork panels, the most common are wood and plywood, plastic and metal formwork panels. To extend the service life of the shuttering boards, it is necessary to use a special formwork lubricant. This lubrication facilitates the detachment of the shield deck from the concrete structure, avoiding additional physical damage to the foundation formwork. At the same time, the surface of the foundation is smoother, while the lubricant does not affect the adhesion of concrete to plaster mixtures, paints, putties, some lubricants even improve these indicators.
If the lubricant is selected properly, an almost perfectly smooth surface is achieved, since the lubricant prevents accumulated air bubbles from escaping from the concrete, this significantly reduces the formation of so-called cavities in the foundation, as well as pores and tears on its surface. Thus, the quality of the foundation itself is significantly increased. If we also take into account the protection of reinforcement and steel embedded parts, which, before pouring the foundation, are also treated with a special anti-corrosion coating, which is a special tread soil that protects the metal components of the foundation from corrosion and destruction, then we can say with complete confidence that the foundation will last a long time and made according to the highest quality standards.
The application of formwork grease is carried out using a sprinkler (spray gun) or with a roller. The most popular lubricant is the environmentally friendly and economical water-based grease. It is also fireproof and does not include organic solvents in its composition.
Practice shows that with the use of high-quality formwork lubricant, a high level of monolith quality and its long-term operation are achieved. What is the main criterion in order to assert that the role of lubricant in the production of reinforced concrete products is very significant and high, therefore it is necessary to approach very seriously the issue of using lubricant for formwork in the construction industry.
