- Significant destruction of a large area of the tooth, caused by acceptable caries or other similar diseases;
- Absolute destruction of the crown of the tooth, in which the root is completely preserved and suitable for insertion of the post;

- The presence of extensive defective lesions of the dentition in the anterior part;
- Minor injuries to individual segments that require micro-prosthetics.
It should be noted that there are no absolute contraindications to the installation of bridges, since this type of construction is suitable for solving almost any orthopedic problems of the dentition. This is justified by the rather diverse and constantly evolving prosthetic methods, which are selected by the dentist individually based on the indications of the patient's test results, his preferences and the anatomical features of the jaw.
Types of dentures: traditional classification
In modern orthopedic dentistry, there is a certain characteristic of a denture, in accordance with which it is a special design designed to fully restore performance, aesthetics and normal functionality of not only single segments, but also the dentition as a whole. According to the general classification, dental bridges are conventionally divided into three main types: partially removable, fixed and removable dentures. When choosing the type of prosthesis, the doctor must take into account not only the clinical parameters of the legs, but also the individual preferences of the patient.
To perform the replacement of one or two anterior teeth, it is preferable to use a fixed prosthesis, the fixation of which is performed with permanent cement, and naturally excludes the possibility of early or premature removal with subsequent installation back. A fixed prosthesis can look like a dental crown in the form of a special cap, made of materials such as:

- Sintered metal;
- Special metal alloys.
