Jindal Steel and Power Limited are planning to invest close to Rs 20 billion to set up two plants. The new factories, with a capacity of about 1.4 million tonnes of rebar each year, are slated to be introduced at JSPL Angul's existing facilities in Odisha and Oman.
JSPL Marketing Director K. Mehta said that “We have 1.6 million tonnes of production at present. In 3 years, we hope to expand our capacity to 4.5 million tonnes by building two new plants. divisions will likely require an investment of about Rs 10 billion. " Mehta said the first plant should be commissioned in the next 18 months and another within 27 months. special-purpose clothing with logos of new objects has already been developed for the working personnel.
Currently, the main manufacturer of fittings in the region is the Patratu plant in Jharkhand. The company uses the technology for the production of fittings from Siemens (USA). JSPL announced its intention to dominate the retail steel segment in August this year with the launch of a new retail brand. The first among the products under the Jindal Panther TMT Rebars brand will be steel products used in construction.
The product will be marketed by 40 JSPL distributors and over 1000 dealers. JSPL also plans to complete the Chhattisgarh rail hubs by January 2014 as part of JSPL's strategy to improve the company's competitiveness.
