They used to be called TKTG, but that was before. Now everyone who is engaged in the production of shoe brakes in Russia calls them TKG. Today's TCGs are not much different from their predecessors. As before, Shoe brakes are not recommended for outdoor use. And if the work is not carried out indoors, then they have to be protected from the direct influence of the atmosphere (meaning even banal precipitation, as well as solar radiation).
There is one more important point - the maintenance of the TCG. Transformer oil (working fluid in pushers), which must be replaced in time for full operation. The oil should be changed at least once a year. It is necessary to monitor the degree of wear of the pads, and when this happens, you need to start adjusting the brake. You should also pay attention to the hinge joints, which periodically should be "pampered" with grease.
Of course, we must not forget about how the transportation of TKG from the manufacturer's plant to the customer takes place. Transportation by closed transport is usually used. The container in which the TCG is transported must exclude the possibility of contamination and damage to the product. But there is no special temperature regime, so natural ventilation is enough.
You can add something else and talk about conservation and warranty. But this is already the concern of the manufacturer. Especially when it comes to the guarantee. I think that after reading my recommendations, you will carefully read the instructions before using the shoe brakes.
