Stainless steel or stainless steel has found wide application for the manufacture of numerous products, including pipes. Their production is based on rolling and firing.
There are six classes of stainless pipes, which differ in their purpose, the main material for production, its uniformity and shape in cross-section, and the method of their manufacture.
- The first class includes gas and standard ones, which are used during the installation of various pipelines, in the transportation of various non-aggressive liquids, gases and many bulk materials, in the construction of fences and various supports to lay cables and various irrigation systems.
- The second class includes those that are used to supply oil with its products, fuel, gas with water, through different pipelines at different pressures.
- Third class is used when working under pressure and at elevated temperatures (food, chemical production, furnaces, nuclear technology, etc.).
- When conducting exploration and exploitation of oil fields, a fourth class pipe is used. Another fourth grade stainless steel is used for auxiliary pipes, drilling and sedimentary.
- Pipes of the fifth grade (or structural) are used in the manufacture of equipment for transport, steel structures, such as elements for furniture.
- The mechanical engineering industry uses stainless steel tubes for machine parts and pressure vessels - this is grade six .
Stainless steel pipes have many advantages: they are easy to lift, flexible, high-strength, not difficult to install. These pipes do not corrode. If necessary, there are pipes covered with plastic, varnish, anti-corrosion paint or other special compounds.
There are profile, seamless, boiler, electric-welded and other pipes. Before starting pipe production, it is necessary to prepare a flat blank of the required format - a strip. Next, this sheet is bent into a round tube and welded along the seam. To give the required profile, it is passed through specially designed rollers. And then the stainless steel pipe is subject to quality control and heat treatment. Depending on the temperature during deformation, the pipes are cold and hot. Connect the pipes using bolts or welding. Stainless pipes are used more often in construction and repair work.
