Our ideas about our own home do not always correspond to reality in the end. It is often much smaller than we would like. However, this does not mean that it cannot be made cozy and spacious, at least visually. There are a few tricks that can help you with this. Most of them concern, of course, furniture and appliances.
So, furniture. It is better for owners of small-sized housing to " make friends " with custom-made furnishings for a long time. In particular, in the kitchen, where house projects rarely provide for a lot of free space, you can install a custom-made headset taking into account all the features of the room. This will allow you to usefully apply every free centimeter. It should be remembered that light colors add visual space, while dark ones make the room darker. As for the dining table, it can be advantageously beaten if it is made folding: during eating it is a piece of furniture, after eating it folds freely and becomes a stylish mirror that visually enlarges the space.
The amount of furniture in the rooms should be minimal. And it is desirable that these were multifunctional interior items. Instead of a bulky bed, you should buy or order a comfortable folding sofa on which to sleep softly at night and sit comfortably during the day. A bookcase installed on the table can save you from a pile of useful trifles. If, in addition to its small size, the housing has low ceilings, then the height of the furniture should also be minimal. Free vertical surfaces not only uselessly waste space, but also cause the constant temptation to put something on them without reaching the place, and this is a direct path to clutter.
Technique . A modern, powerful laptop with a large screen and high-speed Internet connection can replace a stationary computer with many cords, a TV and a stereo system. If the washing machine can be installed in the bathroom, but end-to-end, it is better to purchase a vertical one, since it is narrower. If the size of the bathroom does not allow this, you should choose a model with horizontal loading and place it in the kitchen - this will allow you to use its surface as an additional shelf. In addition, not every housewife needs all kinds of steamers, multicooker and ultra-modern food processors. As a rule, after two or three trial uses, they lie on the shelf for a long time, only taking up free space.
