Modern construction is hard to imagine without the latest equipment, adapted to the performance of certain tasks. The apron feeder designed for the transportation of building materials with a diameter of up to 160 mm has recently been in great demand. With the help of such feeders, it is also possible to load and unload hot and abrasive materials without interruption, which is very convenient from a practical point of view. The scope of use of such special equipment is very wide: it is the coal, mining, and construction industries.
To imagine what it is like - an apron feeder - it should be noted that it is made in the form of a chain with many rows, the structure of which is located on the upper and lower rollers, which are installed in bearings.
There are 2 types of apron feeder:
- medium (it can transport materials up to 500 mm in diameter);
- heavy (capable of moving loads up to 1200 mm in diameter).
If medium apron feeders are used in the mining industry, then their main purpose is to feed raw materials from bunkers to a special installation where primary crushing takes place. As for the heavy plate feeders, hot and damp building materials can be transported with them. Moreover, they can be in the form of large pieces - this is not at all an obstacle for this type of feeders.
Along with apron feeders, the inertial screen is also widely used. With the help of such equipment, it is possible to easily distribute bulk materials of the corresponding classes (such distribution is most often needed by such materials as crushed stone, sand, and also coal). The structure of the inert screen is a special machine, which can be of several types. Distinctive characteristics of such machines of different types are the shape of the hole for sifting sand or crushed stone, the nature of the location of the working surface, as well as the method of mixing substances.
How is the screening of the required materials carried out? This is done under the influence of vibrational vibrations. For example, sand is taken and placed on a special grate. During the vibration process, fine sand particles are sifted through this grid, while the larger ones remain on it. Thus, such equipment is very functional and capable of efficiently and quickly cope with the task.
