Propane cylinders

Пропановые баллоны

Propane cylinders were manufactured for the storage and transportation of propane. Propane in cylinders is in demand in villages, summer cottages and cottage townships where there is no natural gas pipeline. In industry and metallurgy, propane in cylinders is used for cutting or brazing metals.

Application:

Propane finds its mass application in many aspects of human activity. Very often, such technical gas is used as an energy carrier, both for gas stoves and for gas water heaters. A person uses propane for heating water, cooking. Propane is consumed distinctively in the field of housing, for space heating. To heat a room, you just need to install special-purpose equipment. In residential premises, propane is supplied via gas pipelines.

Propane gas has found another use in everyday life. This gas made its debut as an alternative fuel for automobiles, instead of gasoline. To use this type of gas, cars are equipped with a special device. Such an innovation enables motorists to save money, and emissions of harmful gases into the airspace of the city are sharply reduced.

Technical characteristics of propane cylinders :

Propane cylinders have different capacities, in particular, they are produced in cylinders with a capacity of 50 liters, 27 liters, 12 liters and 5 liters. Their working pressure reaches 1.6 MPa. All such cylinders have a steel body and are equipped with a VB-2 valve, which has an aluminum plug with a gasket that prevents the leakage of liquefied gas during transportation and storage. In addition to the valve, these cylinders are also equipped with a reducer, which is designed to control the pressure and to regulate the consumption of the gas composition in the cylinder.

Cylinders with different capacities, in some respects, have similarities and differences. For example, for cylinders with a capacity of 50 liters and 27 liters, the walls of the bodies are 3 mm thick, their diameter is also the same - 299 mm, but the mass of an empty cylinder with a capacity of 50 liters is 22 kg, and the mass of a "27 liter" empty cylinder is 14 , 5 kg.

Cylinders with capacities of 5 liters and 12 liters also have similarities and differences. Both cylinders have a shell thickness of 2 mm and a diameter of 222 mm, but the weights of empty cylinders are naturally different - 4 kg and 6 kg, respectively.

Safety Instructions

Liquefied gases are explosive. Such mixtures tend to accumulate in one place. When a heat source appears, the temperature of which will exceed the ignition temperature of the gas, an explosion will occur. To prevent such cases, it is not allowed to use gas cylinders in basements, wells and in general in any underground premises.

It is not advised to use torches and torches above and below small containers.

If the room is small, it is advisable to use cylinders with a small capacity, which, in the event of a gas leak, will not create an explosive situation.

It is extremely unacceptable to release gas to the ground or into a room. If unavoidable, the gas must be sprayed into the air.

In order to avoid malfunctions, it is necessary to check the LPG equipment each time.
