Why do you need compulsory accident insurance?

Для чего нужно обязательное страхование от несчастных случаев?

Every year hundreds of residents of Russia, the USA, Germany and other countries turn to insurance companies to insure something or someone. For example, a purchased car from being stolen, or a personal yacht from being sunk, or yourself from being disabled as a result of an accident.

Each state has its own laws, and each law has its own characteristics. To become a client of an insurance company means to periodically pay premiums to it, as well as receive compensation from it in the event that one of the events that was mentioned in the contract with it occurs. In some cases, a person decides for himself whether he needs to insure something or not, while in others, insurance is mandatory. For example, the heads of a certain kind of enterprises, factories are obliged to carry out compulsory insurance against accidents of their employees. This is done in order to financially support this or those employees who may be injured during the performance of their duties. If any of the employees insured by the employer, while performing the tasks assigned to him, gets injured, as a result of which he will temporarily or permanently lose his ability to work, then he will be paid a certain amount from the insurance company, which will allow him to pay for the treatment in the hospital of the injured limb, broken head or injured internal organs. If the victim is permanently disabled, then in addition to a one-time payment from an insurance company, he will also receive a state benefit for disabled people for life.

In almost all states there is compulsory accident insurance. In the Russian Federation, hypothermia, burns, dislocations or fractures of bones, and chemical poisoning are among the events that caused damage to a person and are the basis for paying him this or that amount. However, compensation for a person who has a broken limb and /or damaged internal organs is paid only when he received these injuries as a result of an accident. If he was injured as a result of an accident, the culprit of which was he himself, driving a car in a state of intoxication, or a person harmed himself by trying to commit suicide, then the insurance company is not obliged to pay for his treatment.

In Russia, law enforcement officers, as well as servicemen of the internal troops and some other categories of persons in the public service are subject to compulsory state insurance.
