Rolled metal are metal products (billets) that are obtained by processing by hot or cold rolling. The process of manufacturing metal rolling, consists in the fact that the workpiece is clamped between two or three rollers rotating in opposite directions, and, passing through such a crimp, it is pulled out. Accordingly, rolling can be hot, cold and warm - depending on the recrystallization temperature.

Steel channel - the most demanded metal rolling
The steel channel is a U-shaped profile. Depending on the grade of steel from which it was made, as well as its size, it has a different purpose. It is used in the construction of box structures, in the erection of columns and other building structures.
The standard width of the channel varies from thirty-two to one hundred and fifteen milliliters. The length of such a product can be from two to twelve meters. And the height can be from fifty to four hundred millimeters.
In addition, they are subdivided by markings into serial numbers as follows:
- the angle of inclination of the shelves of the inner edges - denoted by the letter Y ;
- parallel flange edges - have the designation П ;
- special - indicated by the letter С ;
- channels made of low alloy steel or light series.
Also, there is another type of channel - perforated. The difference lies in the perforated edges.
Channel bars are of three types - hot-rolled, bent and special. Depending on this, the areas of their demand are distributed.
For example, the bent channel 5 is used in architectural construction, automotive construction, and so on.
Hot rolled channel 12 , due to its extra strength, is most often used in shipbuilding structures, in the construction of buildings and land transport.
The channel 24 is considered an indispensable element of the bearing supports. It possesses good mechanical properties that allow it to be used in the construction of machine tools, etc.
