Severstal will supply rental for Ford cars

Severstal, one of the world's leading steel and mining companies, announced that it intends to supply galvanized steel coils to Ford Sollers, which will be used in the production of more than 30 vehicle parts used in various Ford models to be produced in Russia in 2014. These cars are planned to be sold not only in Russia, but also in Ukraine, Belarus and other CIS countries.

The rolled steel will be supplied for the manufacture of hollow parts that are stamped at Gestamp-Severstal-Vsevolozhsk, a joint venture between Severstal and Gestamp, Piterform LLC, part of Magna Cosma International, and Coskunoz, a Turkish company based in Tatarstan.

Dmitry Goroshkov, Director of Marketing and Sales of Severstal's Russian Metallurgical Division, commented: “We see the expansion of our cooperation and the increase in supplies of Ford Sollers as a tribute to the high quality of our products and our technical support services throughout the production chain during order fulfillment. This once again confirms our leading position as suppliers for international automotive companies operating in Russia.

Renault-Nissan, Hyundai-Kia, Volkswagen, General Motors, PSA Peugeot Citroen are among the international automobile companies operating in Russia and being Severstal's clients. The clients of the Gestamp-Severstal-Vsevolozhsk plant will be Ford, Nissan, Toyota, GM and other automotive companies operating in the North-West region of Russia.
