Cable production line is a multi-step process , which uses several basic transitions. At the first stage, a core of a thicker diameter is fed into a coarse drawing machine. This is necessary to reduce the cross-section of the core to the size we need. During the drawing process, it is necessary to monitor the monotony of the process. Monotony determines the uniformity of the resulting section.
An indispensable process in a cable production line is annealing. It is necessary to remove the internal stress in the copper wire rod, otherwise the cable will not be strong. Not durable in the sense that when an electric current is passed through it, it will simply heat up, and hence burn. In the event of a fire due to the ignition of the wiring, it is a clear example when the cable has undergone poor-quality annealing.
Next, the cable is passed through a spinning mill, where an insulating coating is applied. The coating is applied in different colors, preparing the cable for further twisting. Applying an insulating coating of different colors to the cable makes it easier later to use it for connecting power lines.
Twisting and applying the final overall insulation coating is the final step of the cable production line. This is the most crucial moment in cable production. The main fault of this process is torsion. Twisting can result in breaks in one or more of the twisted cables, resulting in an overall unsuitability of the final product. The stranded cables are reapplied with a final insulating coating and the finished cable is wound on a drum for distribution to consumers.
