Have you ever looked up in a big supermarket, warehouse? Especially where there is no ceiling. Also, there are no electrical cables or pipes laid across the floor. How such a neat installation of the cable system is achieved, we were told in OBO Bettermann .
Notice how many cable routes envelop the entire area, following strict logic, throughout the entire supermarket. These are all metal cable retention systems.
Why do you need it?
You need to know about them, if only for the reason that they reduce the fire hazard of the building in which you are. In the event of a short circuit, not a single cable can simply fall on your head.
Such systems are used for laying cables and pipelines in various spheres of the national economy. They appeared in the late nineties as a good alternative to special channels in the walls. There is no longer the need to cut the walls, the situation with the current repair and replacement of cables and pipelines has improved. Thanks to special hangers, you can bring any package of cables to the checkout room, to the monitoring room for personnel and customers.
In general, the metal fastening system consists of a set of parts, like a constructor. Depending on the task, a different set of these details is used:
- Metal tray (perforated for ease of installation). Used as a base for laying cables and pipes;
- Flexible tray-channel. It is used in situations when it is necessary to "step over an obstacle", or go around it and stretch the cables;
- Suspensions. Used when cable ducts are suspended in an open space under the ceiling.
