Investments in the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant Azovstal in environmental projects over the course of 2013 amounted to 168 million UAH. This was announced in an interview for the Sigma channel by the general director of Azovstal MK Enver Tskitishvili.
“While sales of metal rolling were reduced by 60 percent, we directed 168 million hryvnias only to environmental projects,” said Enver Tskitishvili.
In 2014, Azovstal will continue to implement ambitious projects to modernize metallurgical production and learn new types of metal products. The company gradually goes into the segment of special steels with increased mechanical properties for oil pipelines and high -pressure gas pipelines.
“Understanding that metallurgists are awaiting problems, and the world market is not ready to take so much steel, we went to a specialized stroke market and worked on the quality and variety of products,” said the director of Azovstali.
The main area of modernization of the plant in 2014 will be the reconstruction of blast furnace production, the construction of a new square workpiece machine and the beginning of the reconstruction of the rail -filling workshop.
“This will be a completely new workshop with new rails of rails. It will be a spaceship, not a camp, ”Enver Tskitishvili emphasized.
