Concern "Kalashnikov" has planned for the near future to carry out a large-scale modernization of production with the replacement of technological equipment. The total amount of investments is planned at the level of 4 billion rubles. The retooling program was presented on September 19th. According to the management of the concern, the implementation of the program will increase labor efficiency and reduce the production costs of the enterprise. The program is scheduled to be completed until 2017, while already this year the volume of investments made was about 1 billion rubles, a significant part of which went to the purchase of metal-cutting and processing machines.

It is noted that in the near future, the labor intensity of the production of small arms will decrease by 30 percent. It is planned that modern MIM technologies and new advanced equipment will be actively introduced, which will not only reduce costs, but also free up about 1.2 thousand square meters. meters of area for additional production facilities.

Already this year, the company's plans for annual revenue are estimated at 9 billion rubles, which is 4.5 times more than last year. In 2013, the Kalashnikov concern ended the year with a total loss of 1.7 billion rubles. This year, the volume of weapons production has doubled, and reached 60 thousand barrels in six months.

It is worth noting that the Rostec corporation, which includes Kalashnikov, plans to reach the level of small arms sales of 24 billion rubles in revenue by 2020.
