NLMK becomes the main supplier of transformer steel for Alstom

The leader of the Russian metallurgy with high added value, NLMK Group has won the status of the preferred supplier of high-grade A transformer steel for the international Alstom Group.

The assignment of the highest category (category A) was carried out following the results of a production audit carried out at the site in Lipetsk and at VIZ Stal in Yekaterinburg by specialists of the company, which is a world leader in the field of power engineering. Representatives of the Alstom concern reviewed and studied production processes and testing laboratories, the work of sales and logistics services, as well as other areas of production facilities.

NLMK Group controls the entire chain of production of metallurgical products, starting with the extraction of raw materials and finishing with the final processing with the subsequent supply of steel to consumers. NLMK produces a wide variety of steel sheets and long products, being the largest supplier of transformer steel on the Russian and global markets. The company specializes in high value-added products, including pre-painted steel, electrical and galvanized steel.
