Norilsk Nickel has successfully completed re-certification to international QEPMS standards

Norilsk Nickel has successfully passed the recertification of the quality of the Integrated Management and Environmental Management System (QEPMS), which confirms its compliance with ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 14001: 2004 standards.

The certification audit was carried out by an independent certification body Veritas Certification Rus at the company's head office in Moscow, the Polar Transport Branch (Dudinka), the Polar Division (Norilsk) and the Murmansk Transport Department (Murmansk).

The audit report includes recommendations and requirements for the development of QEPMS and focuses on the strengths of the system, including the use of advanced technologies in the information sector, understanding the importance of meeting customer requirements and regularly investing in activities related to improving the level of environmental protection.

Vladimir Tkachenko, head of the audit commission, in the final statement noted that the integrated management and management system for environmental protection of Norilsk Nickel has been developed, implemented and is currently operating in full compliance with the standards ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 14001: 2004. The audit concluded that that the system is mature and well developed and therefore recertified in accordance with international standards.

At the meetings of the Scientific and Technical Council, the company regularly pays attention to the current problems of environmental protection, since industrial facilities are regularly forced to resolve issues with waste treatment and make decisions in all environmental areas.
