Zaporizhstal presented the product QR coding system

Zaporizhzhya Metallurgical Plant is one of the first Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises to implement a QR-coding system for finished products based on the SAP management system. This system allows you to work in an automatic mode, displaying the process of inventory and shipment of finished products.

One of the steps in preparation for the implementation of the SAP management process automation system is the launch of a finished product system based on SAP IM QR coding. Within three months, specialists organized product labeling with QR codes, provided that operators from the finished product warehouse were also involved in the process. The developed technical solution for transferring data to the information base is adapted and used for filing an application.

Ruslan Bozhko, Financial Director of Zaporizhstal, said that “As part of increasing production efficiency, we have optimized not only the production process, but also the infrastructure elements. The QR-coding system facilitates the logistics of supplies for our employees and consumers. Such a system was introduced for the first time at a metallurgical plant in Ukraine. I am confident that our system will become the standard for other enterprises in the process of implementation. "

He said that "This system will reduce inventory time by 60 percent, which will eliminate the possibility of product theft, simplify and speed up the work of operators in finished goods warehouses, as well as reduce the influence of the human factor and allow for real record keeping."
