Russian exports of these products totaled 196,216 tons in 2013. Exports to Japan, Holland and China increased significantly over the year, while exports to the European region and South Korea declined sharply.

The Netherlands was the main export destination for Russian low-carbon ferrochrome. Exports amounted to 75,928 million tons at an average price of $ 2,271.85 per ton. Exports to that country jumped 13.2 percent from 67,079 tonnes during 2013. Other important export destinations were Japan (27,550 tons), Czech Republic (22,599 tons) and Germany (16,713 tons). Exports to Japan were up 77.7 percent over the previous year.

On the other hand, exports of high-carbon ferrochrome alloys fell sharply in 2014 to 129,685 tonnes, down 21.3 percent from exports of 164,741 tonnes the year before. The export price averaged $ 1206.50 per tonne throughout the year.

The main destination for high-carbon ferrochrome from Russia was South Korea. Exports to the country totaled 32,175 tonnes, a sharp rise of 30.53 percent from 24,650 tonnes in the previous year, with the Netherlands (21,492 tonnes), the Czech Republic (18,443 tonnes) and India (11,744 tonnes) as top importers during the year. tons). Exports to Japan and Italy declined throughout the year. Japanese imports of high-carbon ferrochrome from Russia fell 44.3 percent during 2014 from the previous year.
