Arcelor Mittal continues to maintain the top position for the full year 2014. The company's steel production rose to 93.1 million tonnes, the highest level since 2008. The ranking list of the largest steelmakers has remained virtually unchanged since 2013.
Only ThyssenKrupp regained its place in the top twenty, displacing the Russian Evraz. At the same time, 50 percent of the companies in the list of influential metallurgists are from China. Overall, steel production by the 20 largest steel companies reached 633 million tonnes, accounting for 38 percent of global steel production during 2014.
