Dutch supplier of automated pipe cutting lines, BeWo Cutting Systems BV, has installed a pipe making system with Hebo Maschinenfabrik GmbH, one of the world leaders in metal processing, at a plant in Germany that supplies products to the agricultural sector. The German customer will use the equipment for processing high tensile profiles. Cutting BeWo replaces at least four machines simultaneously cutting by hand.
The system combines the automatic circular cutting and deburring of BeWo and two drills from Hebo. The combination of equipment ensures high speed, high output harmonious collaboration. The BeWo cut is very stable with material changes and input parameters of different lengths and forces. After the profiles are cut, they go through one of the deburring stages. BeWo ensures optimal deburring of the profile. After cutting and deburring, the pipes go through the drilling machine. Finally, the profiles are automatically transferred to cleaning machines where dirt and chips are removed.
In addition to the stable material handling, the BeWo cutting lines can be reconfigured to accommodate different types of profiles in no time at all. This was also an important aspect for the German customer, as they needed to process different types of profiles. Since all settings are automatic, it only takes one minute to change the BeWo cutting line to another mode. The combination of BeWo and Hebo machines has made the process more efficient and safer.
