ArcelorMittal named the best manufacturer of automotive steel

ArcelorMittal has been named the best supplier of premium steels for the automotive industry by global automaker PSA Peugeot Citroën. The award was received by the company for introducing the ArcelorMittal Fortiform range of high-strength cold forming steels, which has enabled automakers to achieve weight savings of 10 to 20 percent. These steel savings help automakers meet their CO2 reduction targets.

Since 2011, ArcelorMittal has been awarded strategic supplier status for PSA Peugeot Citroën, one of the world's leading car manufacturers. The Peugeot 308's ArcelorMittal steel product was named Car of the Year 2014 in recognition of its efficient design based on a weight-saving strategy.

ArcelorMittal has also been recognized as the best Dana Reinz company based in Germany for its high quality products and customer service. Dana Reinz designs, develops and supplies a full range of sealing, engine shielding services and is the world's leading supplier of transmission and sealing systems to the global automotive industry. ArcelorMittal was one of three manufacturers to receive an award at the 2015 Automotive Suppliers Summit. Dana Reinz stressed their willingness to maintain a good long-term relationship with ArcelorMittal.

Accepting the award, Philippe Antoine, Head of Engineering at ArcelorMittal Automotive Worldwide, explained: "This award recognizes ArcelorMittal's ability to continually bring to market breakthrough technical solutions to meet global demand for sustainable materials for the automotive industry." The summit recognized the benefits of ArcelorMittal's collaborative engineering approach, which involves working closely with automakers to understand the challenges they face and develop products and solutions to meet those needs.
